Meertens Institute Electronic Publications in Linguistics (MIEPiL)

BoekenThe Meertens Institute Electronic Publications in Linguistics (MIEPiL) is a series of electronic books on modern linguistics in general, and variation linguistics in particular. All MIEPiL volumes are reviewed and edited following standard procedures 'normal' publications on paper.

The Meertens Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences acts as the publisher of these volumes. At present the papers are available in pdf-format. We are studying the possibilities of other forms of publication, including printing-on-demand.

The following volumes have appeared until now:

  • MIEPiL II: Syntactic Microvariation, a selection of papers on various aspects of dialect syntax.
    Editors: Sjef Barbiers (Meertens Institute), Leonie Cornips (Meertens Institute) and Susanne van der Kleij (Meertens Institute).
  • MIEPiL I: Progress in Grammar, an selection of papers by former employees of the Grammatical Models Group at Tilburg University.
    Editors: Marc van Oostendorp (Meertens Institute) and Elena Anagnostopoulou (University of Crete).
