Dit is een online publicatie over dialect syntaxis.
Het electronische boek Syntactic Microvariation bevat papers die verschillende aspecten van dialect syntaxis beschrijven. Het grootste deel van deze papers zijn gepresenteerd tijdens de Workshop Syntactic Microvariation, die plaatsvond in augustus 2001, op het Meertens Instituut in Amsterdam. Deze workshop had tot doel het opzetten van een samenwerkingsverband tussen een aantal grootschalige Europese onderzoeken op het gebied van dialect syntaxis, waaronder het SAND-project in Nederland en Vlaanderen, het project English Dialect Syntax vanuit een typologisch persepectief in Freiburg, Duitsland, en het project Dialect Syntax of Swiss German in Zürich, Zwitzerland.
Deze volume bevat zowel papers over het design en de methodologie van dialect syntactisch onderzoek als papers, waarin syntactische microvariatie vanuit een typologisch en generatief oogpunt wordt beschreven en geanalyseerd:
