The Betaniënklooster can be reached by a short walk from Amsterdam Central Station or by an even shorter walk from the Nieuwmarkt underground terminal.
Parking is a nuisance in the city centre of Amsterdam. There are some car parks available in the vicinity of the Bethaniënklooster, but you are probably better off using public transport.

Getting there by public transport
From Schiphol Airport
Train (direction Lelystad). Change at Amsterdam RAI terminal to tram 50 (direction Gein) or 51 (direction Central Station).
From Amsterdam Central Station (and Amstel Station)
Tram 51 (direction Amstelveen Westwijk).
From Utrecht Central Station
Take the intercity train to Schiphol and change at Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station to tram 50 (Isolatorweg), or take the intercity train to Amsterdam Central Station and change at Amstel Station to tram 51 (direction Amstelveen Westwijk).
The Meertens Instituut is located alongside underground terminal Overamstel. Take the exit 'Joan Muyskenweg'. At the bottom of the stairs turn right. Main entrance with black iron fence near terminal exit.
Getting there by car
From Amsterdam Cross the Utrechtse Brug (bridge), stay on the right side. Exit junction (S110); Meertens Instituut is on the left.
From Amersfoort On route A1: junction RING OOST, A10 (direction Den Haag). Exit A10: junction S110 (Amstel Business Park). Meertens Instituut is on the left.
From Utrecht On route A2: junction S110 (Centrum). Exit A10: junction Amstel Business Park. Meertens Instituut is on the left.
From The Hague On route A10 (RING ZUID): junction S111 (Amstel Business Park); turn left at the end. From second set of traffic-lights follow direction Amstel Business Park West. At following traffic lights turn right (Omval-Centrum); first road left; next road left (alongside 'Sport-Life' building); turn left, parallel to the underground terminal. 300 m. to Meertens Instituut on the right.
