• Processes of Heritageization along the Camiño of Santiago de Compostela: route branch Santiago-Fisterra-MuxiaProcesses of Heritageization along the Camiño of Santiago de Compostela: route branch Santiago-Fisterra-Muxia (2010-2012). The project entails an interdisciplinary project of ethnology, history, archeology and cultural heritage studies. Within the context of cultural heritage processes the project deals with three main research goals: (1) indentification of cultural heritage along the 'ultimate' part of the Camiño and determine whether this is subject to processes of heritageization or not; (2) analysis of the effects of the pilgrimage in the zone along the Camiño; (3) analysis of the Fisterra/Muxia myth as being the final destination of the pilgrimage and produce new knowledge on the cultural landscape. The anthropological part of the project is dedicated to: (1) identifying whether the specific elements of the cultural heritage are perceived by the people as 'theirs'; (2) identifying the ritual practices, older ones and specially the newly created, related to New Age spiritualities; (3) identifying the elements which can be used to valorize the impact of the pilgrimage by the different local agents.
