Below, in alphabetical order of place name, are the Word documents posted in which - within the project 'Places of Pilgrimage in the Netherlands' - local saint cults are researched and partially described, but are proved not to comply with the scientific criteria for a place of pilgrimage. That is the reason why these places are not included in the pilgrimage database (BiN-database (BoL)). It would have been an unnecessary loss of information if these texts were not made digitally accessible to the public. This collection however covers only a quarter of all 655 disqualified 'places of pilgrimage', namely only those of which a descriptive text was produced by one of the researchers involved. But, as these texts were not intended for publication no final editing has taken place and therefore typos, faults etc. occur in the texts.
